Nancy Leinonen Howells is a teacher of private voice, a performer, and a lecturer, teaching and performing in the MetroWest area of Boston.

As a teacher, Nancy believes that each student, and therefore each voice, is unique, and should be treated as such. Utilizing resonance balancing, breath management techniques and individual learning preferences, Nancy works to bring out each student’s unique sound.

As a performer, Nancy works in a broad variety of styles and eras, including classical, cabaret, and liturgical music. Possessing a warm yet brilliant voice, Nancy is unafraid to explore both the beauty and dramatic expressiveness of her instrument when performing. Nancy is available for weddings, funerals, and other functions.

As a lecturer, Nancy seeks to bring her own enthusiastic knowledge of the subject of music to others. Possessing a dry humor, as well as a vast knowledge of her chosen subjects, Nancy delivers thoughtful insights on style, performance practice, and the music she discusses.
